GEIT started with offering academic  and professional programs at undergraduate level and has over the years grown into Post-graduate institute in engineering & management duly Approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, Government of India & is recognized under Section 2(f) of UGC Act of 1956.

The institute has always been in tune to the practical problems and priorities of the present day world.It has been a constant endeavor of the institution to churn out professionals who are capable and possess the requisite skills required in the industry. In almost a decade of its existence, over 2000 graduates  & 500 post graduates have emerged from the portals of GEIT ,Dehradun. Some of them have gone on to make a mark for themselves in top notch companies in India & abroad, while others have pursued career in higher learning & research in reputed Universities in India and abroad. 

The institution has members in its faculty who have achieved distinction in different areas of engineering and management. They come from reputed institutions like IITs, IIMs, NITs, etc.
